Jiyoun Kim Studio launched a unique kind of LED skincare products in collaboration with Makeon, Amorepacific's affiliated brand for beauty device. Through the structural division of the existing LED masks, the new product is lighter and smaller. It is a true innovation using versatile lighting patterns of LED, aiding skincare more effectively. An elastic band was used for the power supply area, and light silicone patches are applied to the skin. This approach has not been attempted in the current market and is designed specifically to induce sustained and continued usage by the users, which eventually increases the effectiveness of the product.

In East Asian countries, including South Korea, the beauty device market has been continuously expanding. Especially, skincare products using LEDs are one of the most profitable items, and the market is fiercely competitive. Existing LED Masks were too bulky and heavy, resulting in ridiculous user experience. Jiyoun Kim Studio and Amorepacific tried to serve more streamlined and convenient usability to resolve such pain. Our method is to wear the smooth curvature shaped power-bag around the neck connected to the light silicone LED patches via USB cable. Users can apply the basic silicone patch anywhere they wish and can use other types of LED patches, such as body patches, interchangeably. This approach is inspired by the form seen in Portable Music devices, especially for the exercise.

As the ordinary usage of the product lasts at least 10 minutes, heaviness and bulkiness prevent everyday use. For that, Makeon LED patch is focused and designed to encourage the natural blends of the user's product usage and many other daily works.
